Children's Art

For the past decade I have been working on a series of paintings involving the manipulation of children's drawings and paintings. With the addition of an adult perspective, such as depth, light source, and shading, a revision of the children's work is given a surreal quality with the help of a child's gestalt gesture. Many factors arise in the pieces as a result of this concept, such as the loss of innocence in the revisions and other psychological issues which become apparent to the individual viewer and especially the original young artist.

Clicking the thumbnail will show you the childrens origianl art, clicking NEXT will show you my interpretation.
